2020 IREM 30 Under 30 Recipient

Troy MacDonald is a Community Manager with Concert Properties, a Canadian award-winning diversified real estate enterprise with assets of $4.0 billion and over $2.0 billion in shareholder equity. Troy is responsible for and directly manages two residential high-rise purpose-built rental assets – 177 units and 388 units – located in downtown Toronto, Canada, and assists in the management of 8,885 class A retail square footage. Additionally, he oversees a community of recently renovated semi-detached heritage homes and the adjacent land set for re-development of a condominium. Troy leads a team of nine staff members who look to his positive, motivational, think outside the box management style to outperform the competition. He is known for pushing and inspiring his teams to challenge the status quo and innovate daily. Previously a decorated competitive swimmer, he brings high energy and a hyper focused sports mindset to the property management industry. Troy has founded two companies over the past 10 years and has worked with a diverse portfolio of properties, including mixed-use artist lofts, purpose-built multi-res, warehouse studios, student rentals, commercial lofts, and retail storefronts. Troy recently joined the Canadian IREM chapter in 2019 and is working towards the completion of his Certified Property Management designation.
