Judy, working on Dixon Advisory’s Property Management team, manages over 120 one- to four-family homes across Hudson County, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Originally a paralegal, Judy ultimately decided to follow a different route. “After being accepted to law school, I realized becoming a lawyer wasn’t for me. I decided to get into real estate because my family works in real estate investment.” Though Judy had no prior experience in the real estate industry, she adapted very quickly and it was evident her passion for real estate drove her eagerness to quickly learn the nuances of the field. Once Judy was fully confident in her role as property manager, she met with her director and asked what options she had to gain even more knowledge in the field and attain a form of certification. After being educated about IREM and the CPM designation, Judy immediately signed up and got to work perfecting her trade. Judy completed her CPM requirements and was officially inducted to the institution as a CPM at the Tri-State Conference this February. Judy has proven her willingness to go above and beyond time and time again and Dixon has now not only trusted her with high profile, celebrity clients, but has also entrusted her to start up a separate branch within our company that provides property management services to external clients. The knowledge Judy has gained through her eagerness to learn truly shows as we now get to see her establish this external branch from the ground up. As if Judy hadn’t accomplished enough over the past few years, she has now asked to enroll in more courses through IREM to learn about condos and homeowner associations. She is confident she can bring in more business to the company by gaining this knowledge and she has given us every reason to trust her and her vision.
