2020 IREM 30 Under 30 Recipient

Emma Paustian, 25, first fell in love with real estate at the age of ten while watching her mom transform houses in old Portland neighborhoods from outdated and deteriorating to beautiful masterpieces. During the summer, Emma and her three siblings would go over and help their mom dust the house to make it look presentable before showing it to prospective buyers. Today, helping tenants transform their spaces through the course of tenant improvement projects is the most rewarding part of Emma’s job. You may even occasionally find her dusting off the counters prior to a tenant move in. Emma has worked for TMT Development for almost four years now. As a TMT employee, the company’s support for continuing education helped Emma become a licensed real estate broker. Through their guidance, Emma was led to the Portland Chapter of IREM where she quickly found a warm welcome from the Young Professional’s Committee. Emma’s committee organizes educational and networking events throughout the year to connect property managers and vendors of all ages. Through IREM, Emma has found a thoughtful community full of individuals willing to give recommendations and support one another.
