What do we do?
- Complete policy research for IREM Members as requested
- IREM government affairs staff monitors roughly 12,000-15,000 pieces of legislation introduced or pending in all 50 states. This service helps Chapter Legislative Chairs monitor state and federal legislation that may impact their business.
- IREM monitors the U.S. Federal Register every day to stay abreast of federal agencies and rules and regulations that may potentially impact the industry.
- IREM maintains a solid relationship with NAR and their government affairs staff. This strong relationship allows up-to-the-minute information sharing.
- The IREM Legislative and Public Policy Committee is instrumental in monitoring important legislative and regulatory matters that are of interest to the membership.
- And of course, IREM’s Government Affairs staff is constantly reading, researching, and analyzing legislation and regulations that are of importance to the real estate management industry.
