Sharon Simmons, CPM®, serves on the IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) Board of Directors. Simmons is the Global Manager for Real Estate and Workplace Services for Mary Kay Inc.’s international portfolio. In this role, Simmons leads a team of Program Managers providing lease administration, property management, lease negotiation, property acquisition and disposition, construction, workplace design, and consulting services covering over 100 properties across the globe.
Simmons has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate managing a variety of large portfolios including office, medical, retail, industrial, manufacturing and distribution across the U.S. Prior to joining Mary Kay, Simmons served in various leadership roles with large REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) including Vanderbilt Office Properties, The RMR Group, Piedmont Office, and Crescent Real Estate.
Simmons has been involved with IREM since the early 90’s and proudly earned her CPM (Certified Property Manager) certification in 1993. She’s held numerous chapter leadership roles including chapter president in 2022. Simmons was awarded the CPM of the Year award in 2022. Nationally, she’s served on the Ethics Committee, Ethics Hearing and Discipline Board, and Governing Councilor. Having an extensive background in property management and real estate has created various opportunities for public speaking.
Simmons holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management degree with a minor in Human Resource Management from Dallas Baptist University. She also holds a real estate brokers license in the State of Texas.
Simmons is a member of the IREM Dallas chapter.
