Presenter: Nancy San Pedro, IREM Instructor

Following the introduction to retail leasing, we're offering a more in-depth look broken into the three-part series to deliver even more content. We'll consider leasing from all perspectives - the tenant, the owner and property manager and the lease details.

In Part I, we'll explore leasing from the tenant perspective.

  • What do tenants want in a lease and what makes a space attractive? Understand the most important aspects of renting a space from the perspective of a tenant.
  • What are the latest "trends"? We'll look at what leasing terms are most requested, when and why they are granted.
  • Turnkey vs. Tenant Improvement Allowance - How and why tenants decide if they are willing to take on the construction vs letting the landlord handle it? What tenants are you likely to attract in both scenarios?

Nancy San Pedro has held numerous roles over the course of her career, including leasing, property management and asset management in addition to being an instructor for IREM.
