In Illinois, a license is required if you are an individual who administers for remuneration the financial, administrative, maintenance, or other duties for the community association. The State of IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation recognizes IREM’s Community Association Management course (COM201) for the education requirement and the Community Association Management Exam (COMEXM) for the exam requirement.

This exam will be taken with a live online proctor (LOP). The exam is open book – a hard copy or a PDF of IREM course materials may be referenced during the exam. For more information about live online proctoring, click here. If you register for the independent exam, you have thirty days from the registration date to complete the exam.
