HUD issues rule extending eviction notice to 30 days
HUD published rule in the Oct. 7 Federal Register that prohibits the eviction of tenants for nonpayment of rent from public housing and project-based rental assistance properties without providing a 30-day notice that includes information about available federal emergency rental assistance. The rule goes into effect Nov. 8.
