Another Congressman has agreed to co-sponsor H.R. 802/S.3755, the Respect State Laws Housing Act. Arizona Rep. Elijah Crane (R-AZ 2nd District) has been added as a co-sponsor, in addition to Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ 8th District) and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ 5th District).
The IREM Arizona delegation was able to secure sponsorship from Reps. Biggs and Lesko’s office back in February during our Advocacy Impact Day event in D.C., and now they have added a third Arizona Congressman to support the bill.
We commend our IREM Arizona members for their hard work advocating for this legislation!
The Government Affairs Department recently created a Call to Action demonstration video explaining how members can use VoterVoice, an online grassroots advocacy platform to contact their federal, state, and local officials. With the push of a button, members are able to contact their officials urging them to either support or oppose a legislative or regulatory issue.
We encourage all chapters to share the video with their members.
Not sure who your federal legislators are? Use the “Find my Officials” feature on irem.org.
Our objective is to empower our members, which is why IREM tracks federal and state legislative proposals that could affect the property management industry. Check out the list of bills we are currently tracking during the 2024 legislative season.
