IREM® Governing Council

The Governing Council is IREM’s ultimate decision-making body. Governing Councillors have a strong understanding of local, national, and international issues that need to be brought to the forefront of the IREM agenda. They are knowledgeable about the real estate management industry. And they are knowledgeable about how IREM works – strategically, operationally, and legislatively.

Applications are now open through July 15, 2025 for the 2026-2028 Governing Council.

“I have been an IREM volunteer serving in various roles for 10+ years. If it were not for my involvement in IREM, I would not have my current position at my company. It was through my connections at IREM that helped catapult my career and form lifelong friendships. IREM members are great people, and by volunteering you get to engage and connect to the smartest individuals in the industry! Being an IREM volunteer is truly a wonderful opportunity – both personally and professionally. Where else can you get this kind of experience and high-level certification that sets you apart from all others in the property management industry?”
