Branden Barker, CPM®, CCIM, CSM, serves on the IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) Board of Directors. After 15 years in the commercial real estate and property management industry, Barker formed his own company, Barker Property Management, where he manages a portfolio of commercial properties in and around Baton Rouge, LA.
Barker became an IREM member in 2005 and earned his CPM certification in 2007. Long active in IREM’s Louisiana chapter, he’s a past chapter president, and was honored in 2012 as the chapter’s “CPM of the Year.” At the national level, Barker has served as a member of the IREM Governing Council, a two-time chair of the Membership and Credentialing Committee, co-leader of one of the organization's annual Chapter Leadership Forums, and as regional vice president for Region 5.
Barker's service to the association and industry was recognized as he was named IREM's Certified Property Manager of the Year in 2018. In addition to his IREM affiliation, Barker is a member of the CCIM Institute and ICSC, from which he earned the CCIM and Certified Shopping Center Manager credentials respectively.
Locally, he’s also very active in his community where he serves on several nonprofit boards and received the honor of Top 40 Under 40 from the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. A member of the Commercial Investment Division of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors, he’s a past president and two time Member of the Year, as well as a member of the Coastal Conservation Association, Forum 35, Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Kids' Orchestra, and Baton Rouge Rotary Club.
Barker is a member of the IREM Louisiana chapter.
