Velda Simpson, CPM, ARM is the 2016-2017 Regional Vice President for Region 4 encompassing chapters in Florida and Georgia. Simpson is a property management and real estate consulting professional with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. She is the property management director at Kairos Development Corporation, and an associate broker with Kairos Realty Advisors – an Atlanta-based company where she’s worked since 2003.
Simpson earned her ARM certification in 2002 and her CPM designation in 2008 and has been an active in IREM ever since. She has served in numerous leadership positions, including as the 2013 president of the IREM Georgia Chapter. She was honored in 2013 for an Exceptional Service Award, in addition to the IREM Georgia Chapter Presidential Award in 2014. Simpson recently became an IREM Instructor and is now approved to teach Managing the Physical Assets (MNT 402) for IREM. In addition she is a facilitator for IREM ETH 800 for the Real Estate Manager.
She earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Troy State University. She holds a State of Georgia Certified Pre-License Real Estate Instructor License. In addition, Simpson is an adjunct instructor at Kennesaw State University and the College of Continuing and Professional Education. She is a sale Pre-License Instructor for Georgia Institute of Real Estate (GIRE) and an adjunct instructor at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. She has been a member of the Southern Crescent Toastmasters since 2012, of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors since 2003, and the Georgia Real Estate Educators Associations (GREEA) since 2012.
Simpson is a member of IREM Georgia Chapter 67.
