Michael Brown, CPM, ARM, serves on the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Executive Committee. As Camden’s Western Division Vice President based out of Southern California and Las Vegas, Michael Brown is responsible for overseeing all facets of property operations for this 16,400-unit portfolio which includes assets in Arizona, California, Colorado and Nevada and comprises nearly one quarter of all Camden’s assets. Brown has 28 years of multifamily experience. Prior to joining Camden he was Regional Vice President of property operations with Western National Group in Irvine, Calif. Brown has worked with such firms as The RREEF Funds, Stellar Management and R.W. Selby & Co., Inc. and has managed assets in six western states ranging in portfolio asset values of up to $2 billion.
Brown is presently past President for the Orange County Chapter of IREM and sits on various national committees. He has held various Board of Director positions in California with the Tri-County and San Diego Apartment Associations as well as the Apartment Association of California Southern Cities. Presently, he is an advisor on the board of the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Real Estate. Brown teaches property management classes and holds a California Real Estate License and an Associate Broker’s License in Colorado.
Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business finance from San Diego University and has earned both his CPM designation and ARM certification.
Brown is a member of IREM Orange County Chapter 91.
